Abstract The purpose of this review article is to present some recent results on the modeling and control large systems agents. We focus particular applications where agents are capable independent actions instead simply reacting external forces. In literature, such were referred as autonomous, intelligent, self-propelled, greedy, others. main we have in mind social (as opinion dynamics), pedestrians’ movements (also called crowd animal groups, vehicular traffic. note that last three examples include physical constraints; however, able inject energy into system, thus preventing typical conservation momentum energy. addition, problems posed by new require innovative methods. illustrate ideas developed recently, including use sparse controls, limiting total variation defining for measures.
